Find Park County Traffic Tickets

Park County traffic tickets belong to one of two forums: state County Court or a town's municipal court. The citation itself tells you which. Before any docket search, gather the court name, the citation number, and whatever is marked in the appearance box, then take those details to the matching clerk or calendar. A Park County traffic court record will show the charge, the court setting, the plea, and the outcome once each is entered. Paying and contesting follow different routes, so settle the forum question first. The state licensing agency keeps its own separate record.

Park County Traffic Court Records

Three courts split traffic cases in Park County. State citations filed in class T go to Park County Court. Fairplay Municipal Court takes eligible Fairplay ordinance and model traffic code matters. Alma Municipal Court handles the eligible Alma cases. The agency that wrote the ticket does not settle the question, since a Fairplay police citation can still land in state court. Check both the court name and the payment recipient printed on the ticket.

At the Park County Combined Court, the Clerk of Court keeps the state traffic file. That file can hold the citation, the charge, court dates, the plea, the disposition, sentence or costs, and the chronological docket entries. A municipal clerk keeps the town file. Shared sessions between Fairplay and Alma never merge their ordinances, files, or custody.

Park County Traffic Citation Routing

Start with the citation itself, paper or electronic. That single document answers most routing questions. A Park County Court label or a T-class case number points to Combined Court in Fairplay. A Fairplay Municipal Court label means the town clerk at Town Hall. Alma ordinance citations stay with Alma's court clerk. One firm rule: state violations and sheriff citations cannot be paid to Fairplay Municipal Court.

Penalty assessment
A payable Fairplay citation that may be resolved under the instructions on its face before court.
Summons and complaint
A citation requiring appearance at the date and time in the COURT APPEARANCE box.
T case
The Colorado case class used for a state traffic matter in County Court.
Municipal case
A town ordinance or municipal traffic matter kept by that town's clerk.

Unclear paperwork? Call the named Park County-area court before sending money or showing up. Fairplay's clerk will explain procedure but cannot advise you on a plea or a defense.

Looking Up a Traffic Ticket

For a state ticket, the free Colorado Judicial Branch Docket Search shows the scheduled event. The form needs a date plus at least one more filter. Choose Park or Judicial District 11. Then enter the year, T class, and sequence from the case number if you have it. CoCourts runs a separate fee-based index of non-protected state case data. Neither system covers municipal-only cases. For current clerk and courthouse channels, the official Park County court page is the reference.

  1. Read the citation's court, payee, case or citation number, and appearance box.
  2. For a state case, search Park County with the date and exact T-class number, party, or attorney filter.
  3. For Fairplay, use the official court page, photo-radar link when applicable, or call 719-836-2622 option 3.
  4. For Alma, contact the court clerk by phone, email, fax, or at Town Hall because no public case portal was found.
  5. If no result appears, call or visit the correct counter. A newly entered, municipal, or restricted matter may not appear in the state calendar.

Park County Combined Court also answers questions by phone at 719-836-2940, email at parkcountyclerk@judicial.state.co.us, fax at 719-838-4569, mail, and in person at 300 Fourth Street.

Park County Fairplay Traffic Records

The Fairplay Municipal Court page is an official Park County resource. It covers citation routing, town payment instructions, missed-date guidance, and municipal court contact.

Fairplay Municipal Court page for Park County traffic court records

That route works only when the citation itself prints Fairplay Municipal Court. It will not accept a state violation assigned to Park County Court.

Fairplay ordinary penalty assessments can be paid by debit or credit card over the phone at 719-836-2622 option 3. A check can also be mailed to P.O. Box 267, Fairplay, CO 80440. Town Hall sits at 901 Main Street. It generally lists weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A summons and complaint is different. That one requires you to appear at the date and time printed in the COURT APPEARANCE box.

How to Find Your Traffic Court Date

Trust the newest signed or served Park County notice first. Then check the current Park County calendar entry, and confirm any conflict with the clerk. A docket search result can display the scheduled date, start time, duration, hearing type, county or courthouse, appearance type, and room. It will not show every old reset. It will not show each filed document either. And a public viewing link is never a party's participation link.

Case numberA state matter may use year, T class, and sequence, such as 2026 T 000123.
Photo-radar numberFairplay uses FPLY-C-########, printed in the upper-right or third box.
Date and timeThe current appearance or arraignment setting; confirm a late change.
Appearance typeMay state in person, virtual, telephone, or remain blank.
CourtroomThe room or division shown for the current event.

Only the named Park County-area court can grant a continuance. A request, a voicemail, or a pending email does not excuse attendance. If a Park County ticket, notice, and online setting disagree, call the assigned clerk.

Park County Photo Traffic Records

Fairplay runs an active photo-radar path within Park County. The official town page links to a payment channel and gives the known violation-number format, FPLY-C-########. That number sits on the notice. The static page does not publish the vendor's full field set, so treat the violation number as the one confirmed search input.

Missing or rejected violation number? Call the municipal clerk. Do not fall back on a Park state-court docket search unless the citation actually names Park County Court.

Pay or Contest a Ticket

Fairplay's Park County traffic process draws a hard line between paying and appearing. Paying an eligible penalty assessment is an admission. It resolves the case under the ticket's stated terms. Contesting keeps the dispute alive for court and means following the appearance instructions. And a summons and complaint never turns into a payable ticket just because some other town citation can be paid by phone.

The detailed Fairplay penalty notice allows payment within 20 days for an applicable reduction: violations assessed at three or more points drop by two, and two-point violations drop by one. Ask the assigned court before paying if a local alternative is on the table. Park County offers no park-wide deferred disposition or defensive-driving application and fee schedule.

Park County Traffic Payment Channels

Which office takes your money depends on the court named on the ticket. The location where the officer wrote it does not decide this. Fairplay allows payment by phone card or mailed check, and only for an eligible municipal penalty assessment. That route does not reach a Park County Court T case. It does not cover an Alma citation either. Read the payee and court printed on the ticket. Then follow that office's current instructions alone.

Save proof of any authorized Park County payment. If the ticket is a summons, call the clerk first. The same applies when the deadline is unclear.

Park County Missed Traffic Dates

Miss a Park County traffic date? Call the assigned court right away. Fairplay cautions that delay can add time and cost, block license renewal, and even lead to a warrant depending on the offense. The court publishes no flat failure-to-appear surcharge or state hold amount. Assume no fixed fee without confirmation from the clerk.

Missed setting: Contact the court printed on the citation immediately. Paying or calling the wrong clerk does not clear the correct court's case.

Ask the clerk whether a warrant, a new setting, a payment requirement, or another instruction now sits in the Park County case. A clerk can explain procedure and status but cannot promise a result. Keep the case number and citation handy when you call.

Traffic Court Record vs Driving Record

Two different offices keep two different files. The court file, whether Park County or municipal, tracks the judicial matter itself. The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles keeps the separate driving record, which updates only after reportable outcomes reach the agency. So a docket search cannot reveal what sits in the state licensing file. The DMV does not supply the signed court order either. Its point and suspension information is an agency source, not a court docket.

Use the court record to learn which court heard the citation, when it was set, and how it ended. Turn to the DMV for the agency file alone. One record never replaces the other.

Park County Minor Traffic Records

A Fairplay citation involving a minor adds steps. The municipal material points to the DR2334 advisement. A parent's signature must be witnessed or notarized. A minor who contests the charge must appear with a parent or legal custodian. That is not the ordinary phone-payment path an adult with an eligible assessment can use.

Confirm the form, signature, and appearance rules with Fairplay Municipal Court before the deadline. A ticket naming Park County Court or Alma Municipal Court belongs to that clerk. It does not belong to Fairplay's procedure. The face of the ticket still routes everything.

Park County State Traffic Hearings

For a state T-class matter, split the case number into year, class, and sequence. Pick Park in Docket Search, set the relevant date or range, and enter those pieces. A date alone will not run the search. Without a case number, a party field sometimes works. A full number gives a cleaner result, and it avoids the clerk's $5 name-search charge.

Read the result as a calendar snapshot only. Printable and export controls do not produce the complete Register of Actions. Request the ROA from the Park County Combined Court clerk. That is the route to the full traffic case history. For the exact disposition, sentence order, or ticket, name that item on the Record/Document Request form.

Note: Keep the leading zeros in a Park County traffic case sequence. Copy the number exactly from a citation or court notice.

Copies and Fees

Park County Combined Court charges the statewide copy schedule for state traffic files. A plain filed-paper copy is priced by the page. Certification applies to each document you select, not once per case. Extra research, redaction, or off-site retrieval can add cost, so give a precise case number and exact document name to keep the quote tight.

Fairplay traffic penalties depend on the offense, so read them from the citation itself. Its phone and mail options cover eligible municipal assessments, not clerk-copy charges at Combined Court. Ask the issuing municipal clerk for its current record-copy process and quote.
